Following national news reports on the evening of Wednesday 19th June relating to a possible administration situation at Bathstore, The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) make the following statement:
BiKBBI is not in a position to speculate on the validity of recent news reports relating to Bathstore, however we understand that such reports will cause concern to their staff, customers and their installers (our members).
BiKBBI is committed in the support of its retail partners, its members and the customers they collectively serve and as such we will ensure that communication channels are created and maintained to support the sharing of facts, opposed to speculation.
Following contact with the senior management team on the morning of Thursday 20th June, Bathstore have assured us that it’s “business as usual” and that their stores remain open. Furthermore, they added that supplier payments will “continue as normal.”
BiKBBI CEO Damian Walters commented: “The senior management team at Bathstore have been their usual receptive self and are committed to the welfare of their installer population, staff and customers. We [BiKBBI] put our members at the very heart of what we do and I give my personal assurance that we’ll keep them regularly updated.”
