Betta Living, the Oldham based national kitchen and bedroom retailer, announced that it has temporarily ceased trading whilst it appoints administrators to consider its options.

As the announcement went live on its website, The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) confirmed that it would do everything in its power to support those installers inevitably caught up in the uncertainty.

BiKBBI CEO Damian Walters said: “This will be an incredibly stressful time for those employees, customers and installers connected with Betta Living, especially considering the time of year. Whilst we hope that Betta Living and the administrator will find a solution, it would be naive for installers involved to not consider their options at this juncture.”

Damian continued: “We will work with both BiKBBI members and non-members, to support them with advice, guidance and options and we’ll be there for any business who needs our support.

Thankfully installation opportunities are plentiful at present and I’m confident that the services of good installers will be in demand, which I’m sure will help the future of those involved”.

BiKBBI invite installers to register their details within the Skills Bank and to email member@ikbbi.org.uk for further advice and guidance.

The Skills Bank is also available for Installation Administrators and Managers to register their CV online.
