The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) introduced the latest update to their Compliance & Administrative Management System (CAMS) this week.

This update included:

Multiple gas & electrical engineers:
The ability to record and monitor multiple gas and electric engineers for members. This will allow members to register as many gas and electrical engineers with BiKBBI.
A member will only become suspended if all registered engineers become non-compliant, but reminders to update documentation will be issued for all.

Gas qualification (elements):
Currently we record the expiration date of gas registration.
This update will now record the gas engineer qualifications (elements), including pipework and cookers. A gas engineer will become non-compliant if either their registration or elements expire.

Expiry reminders:
In addition to the current email reminders in the countdown to expiry to compliance documents, this latest update will remind members after expiry at the same intervals (1 day, 7 days, 30 days after expiry).

Re-activation notifications:
If a member is suspended for any reason, our retail partner is currently alerted via email.

The latest update will introduce re-activation emails, notifying retailers (& members’) that their membership has been reinstated.
