The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) today confirmed that the environmentally minded Used Kitchen Exchange has become its latest Retail Installation Standards Partner, adopting the Protected Installation platform to support its customers with a national installation service.

Launched in 2015, The Used Kitchen Exchange, founded by Helen Lord, who recently appointed celebrity designer Linda Barker (pictured with the BiKBBI team at the recent KBB Birmingham exhibition) as their Customer Ambassador, sells used and ex-display kitchens via their website

The partnership with BiKBBI will see the institute support the development of a national network of specialist installers for Used Kitchen Exchange, helping them to scale up their sales model in the provision of a robust installation proposition for their customers.

The Protected platform provides consumers and installers with financially protected transactions, insurance protected workmanship guarantees, access to dispute resolution and installations delivered independently by accredited members of BiKBBI.

Helen Lord commented on the partnership by saying: “The removal and installation of kitchens should be undertaken by professional installers with appropriate qualification and experience. We know that consumers want their kitchens installed by professionals and therefore our new partnership with BiKBBI and indeed the Protected platform meets those expectations.

Protected invites those installers interested in being part of the Used Kitchen Exchange partnership to visit their website at using the retail code UKE20.
