The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) is delighted to announce that Billy Ashcroft of Ashcroft Kitchen Installations Ltd was unveiled as Best Installer 2019 at yesterday’s ek&bbusiness Awards & Review ceremony in London.
The Cumbrian based kitchen installer was awarded the coveted title as the industry celebrated successes and reviewed progress through the year.
Presenting the award yesterday, BiKBBI CEO Damian Walters said: “ I am incredibly proud that installations are acknowledged within such an industry event and I am grateful to the team at Burda for their continual support of our sector. It has been a tough year for installations with high profile retail collapse and the skills gap crisis worsening, so to be able to celebrate the successes is as an important part for us, as indeed recognising some of the challenges that our people face”.
Damian went on to say: “I could not be happier for this particular winner as this is a victory for the small guy. Billy isn’t a big corporate business but instead represents the SME, unarguably part of Great Britain’s economic backbone. A hard working, micro business contributing to the overall success of our industry, representing us all on the front line in our customers homes. Whilst micro in comparison to most of the other businesses represented here today, it’s businesses like Billy’s that allow us to deliver great products and experience to our customers. So from me and my team I’d like to thank Billy and other Billys for everything they do for us”.
Collecting the award, Billy was thrilled and shocked, saying: “I’d like to thank the Institute and the Awards for this recognition. This means so much to me and my family to be recognised in this way.”
Damian Walters added: “I would like to congratulate all the finalists this year. The standard of nominees was higher than ever and they all deserve recognition to have made it to the final.”
