Phenomenal start for BiKBBI L&D Programme

BiKBBI launched its Learning & Development programme, with a staggering 3,229 learners undertaking the online COVID-19 Safe Operating Procedures course and an impressive 99.6% pass rate.

Newly appointed Director of Learning & Development, Steve Gow, delivered the first of BiKBBI’s programme of L&D with its COVID-19 Safe Operating Procedures online course in February.

The course which recapped government guidance on how tradespeople can delivery a safe service in other peoples homes, which was delivered for free as part of BiKBBI’s pledge to support the industry bounce back from the lockdown, also included the phycology behind consumer decision making and the necessary reassurance needed to support customers invest in the home improvement industry.

Steve commented on the L&D launch: “This was a great start to the programme, an important tool for learners and the beginning of a programme targeted at installation education for our industry.”
The course received an impressive 99.6% pass rate and 100% of attendees would recommend the course to others.

Mark Conacher, BiKBBI Member, former Installer of the Year and Director at Liberty Fitting Services in Dundee posted on social media: “Obviously at this moment in Scotland we can’t carry out any installations due to the Government restrictions but this course did so much more for everyone in my team as well as educating them about Safe Operating Procedures during the current pandemic.

“They all usually spend so much time together and have barely seen each other since the 18th December but since taking this course I can feel the camaraderie and the banter growing amongst them again as they compare results, etc in their Whatsapp group. (they all passed )!

“In addition to helping the Liberty staff, I do believe this course will give our customers that little extra peace of mind when they welcome us back into their homes.”
