Roger Recognised

BiKBBI Inspector Roger Groves was awarded Sport Supporter of the Year at the EFL Awards in London on Sunday night.

As lifelong Shrewsbury Town supporter Roger has won the award thanks to his tireless work with the Supporters Parliament in recent years which has provided an avenue for feedback to the club from fans.

On top of this he also helped build awareness of the clubs new Fanzone, funded by the Football Foundation, and were instrumental in the introduction of the safe-standing area to Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Roger said: “It’s fantastic; as lower league football fans, we never expected to be recognised like this. We love our club and we do what we do because we want to make life better for our fellow fans.

“We have to mention every Shrewsbury fan across the world and couldn’t have done this without the support of the people around us.”
