Inspection

The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation provides access to a national network of independent specialist inspectors who deliver a range of inspection services to support all parties. Inspection is available to consumers, retailers, manufacturers and installation businesses. You do not need to have used or be registered with a BiKBBI business to use this service.

Inspection services and fees

Ideal for less complex installation issues, where an independent opinion is needed on points that can be demonstrated via an online session. This service includes a digital report and a recording of the session, highlighting the points raised and providing an expert opinion on the required remedy.
Virtual inspection service
£375
+ VAT
An onsite inspection for more complex, multi-point installation issues. This service includes a independent installation expert attending site to carry out a full inspection, followed by digital report including photography, and an expert opinion on the points raised with suggested remedial for remedy.
  On-site inspection service
£750*
+ VAT
This onsite service is intended for cases that may be heading for, or already involved in, legal proceedings and includes all elements of the standard inspection service along with a comprehensive court-ready inspection report completed by an ‘expert witness’.
